Cleaning Liquid Silver
If you have liquid silver
or heishi strands that are getting tarnished, there's an
easy way to make them shine again. Place a cotton towel
or washcloth in the palm or your hand; generously sprinkle
the towel with baking powder. Guide the strands through
the towel, rubbing gently as you pull them through. You
may have to guide the strands through a few times; shake
the strands gently to remove excess powder. Because liquid
silver is commonly strung on thread, you should use care
not to pull the strand too hard. You could break the string
or stretch it, effecting the overall appearance.
